Stage 1 enforces this server-side via middleware against the user_roles table, not just the client-side check used in this prototype.

Source of truth: the renewal pipeline reads users.program_active_until joined against active Square + Stripe subscription status. The recent-payments stream comes from your existing Square and Stripe webhooks. The opcosts breakdown comes from monthly invoices on each provider, ingested via a Resend monthly digest.
